Dental Crowns & Bridges
When a tooth has become significantly injured, decayed, or even lost, a sturdy restoration becomes necessary to rebuild the patient’s smile. For instance, a customized dental crown can be beneficial in a wide variety of situations, from weakened dental structure to a serious fracture. It’s designed to cover what remains of the tooth and protect it while at the same time rebuilding its original shape.
Alternatively, bridges are capable of replacing missing teeth that appear consecutively in the patient’s mouth. They’re designed to be anchored in place between healthy teeth so that they feel permanent and lifelike. Dr. Gutierrez strongly recommends having your new bridge retained with dental implants because this option is better suited to preserving oral health.
Instead of requiring patients to settle for silver-colored amalgam when a cavity makes itself known, our Cypress team now proudly provides tooth-colored composite resin as an excellent alternative. Composite resin is exceedingly lifelike, flexible, and conservative in nature, which means that we can create smaller fillings and preserve more of your tooth’s remaining healthy structure. Better yet, the lack of temperature-sensitive metals improves the patient’s day-to-day comfort as well.
Dentures & Partial Dentures
Dentures are the oldest form of tooth replacement still in use today, and our Smile Artisans team is proud to offer modern, attractive prosthetics that defy your expectations. Whether you’ve lost a small number of teeth or an entire arch, we can design the ideal denture for your specific needs and preferences that functions well and feels comfortable in the mouth. Both removable dentures and implant-retained dentures are available upon request.
Wisdom Tooth Extractions
Your wisdom teeth (also known as ‘third molars’) are the last adult teeth to emerge into a patient’s smile, usually arriving between the ages of 16 and 22. Unfortunately, most mouths simply don’t have an adequate amount of remaining space to accommodate these teeth, and as a result, overcrowding and impaction (where the teeth become trapped within the jaw/gum tissue) are likely to happen. In order to protect your oral health, Dr. Gutierrez will keep a close eye on the development of these teeth during regular checkups and may recommend extraction if it seems necessary.
